"For something with the footprint of, um, an actual shoe, that’s mighty respectable pace."- TopGear Magazine takes the Biposto Record for a spinThe 695 Biposto Record:Since the revival of the classic Fiat 500 back in 2007 have many potent and performance – oriented models been launched to the market on behalf of the fabled Abarth name. In 2015 did Abarth launch the 695 Biposto; the fastest, most powerful track-oriented version of the 500 ever built. After an enthusiastic reception of this model did Abarth use the 2015 IAA Frankfurt for the occasion to launch a special version of their fabled Biposto that would commemorate the records set by sir Carlo Abarth – the Biposto Record Edition. The records in question were sprint records set in Monza in 1965, where Mr. Abarth himself lost 30 kg’s of his own bodyweight to make this a reality – a truly fascinating achievement. The Abarth 695 Biposto Record was hand built in highly limited numbers (only 133 worldwide) in Turin, and all were delivered in the same base specification: Giallo Modena with a Nero interior and Tar Cold Grey titanium accents. The Biposto’s underpinnings leave little on the table when it comes to performance; a 1.4 turbocharged in-line 4 producing a whopping 190 hp, a bespoke intercooler, a carbon fibre inlet of BMC to the titanium exhaust of Akrapovič to name but a few. As with the "assetto corsa" race cars were all unnecessary creature comforts left-out: no radio, no air conditioning and no rear seats.Additional accessories include a roll-bar of Poggipolini, seats and harnesses of Sabelt, 18-inch OZ Superleggera’s, hydraulically adjustable shock absorbers of Extreme Shox and stopping power is assured by 4-pot Brembo ventilated discs.In-short: the 695 Biposto means serious business. This 695 Biposto Record:The car on offer here is one of only 11 cars ever consigned to Germany. It is inseparable from new - as it should be with only 720 km's driven to date. It is a late-production version (number 102 of 133) and comes with all original documents including the certificate of authenticity, the German "echtheits-zertifikat", an extra numbered plaque and a personal letter of the head of product marketing at Abarth. Biposto Record editions are rare. A Record edition that is offered in "as new" condition at a considerable saving from list-price (cost over €50k new) with extremely low mileage is an opportunity that cannot be underestimated. The car is currently suited with a Belgian registration and stands ready to be inspected at our showroom immediately.Price: €39.950,-Interested in this motorcar?
