The FIAT 500 F:
The FIAT 500 is an automotive icon that needs very little introduction - it is widely recognized as the definitive motorcar that brought independant motoring to all Italians. Initially introduced in 1957, the "Cinquecento"  has seen numerous changes and iterations throughout its 20-odd year production span. The first proper rationalization came around 1965, when the outgoing FIAT 500 "D" was replaced by a new model, the "F". A multitude of differences were introduced, most notably front hinged doors (as opposed to the earlier rear-hinged suicide doors), a smaller opening roof and kept hold of the uprated 499cc air-cooled two-cylinder producting around 17.5 hp. The F did however keep some intricate details that make the early 500's so desirable and were done away with on later models, such as a body colored metal dash, iconic single round instrument cluster amongst others.
The FIAT 500 F is not a very rare car in its own right, there are always a multitude of examples available on the market at any point in time. However, great, nicely restored and rust-free examples are a rarity - let alone examples in the ultimate spec of Azzuro Acquamarina (Baby Blue) with full history form new! We're pleased the car we're offering here, boasts all those criteria.
This FIAT 500 F:
Chassis no. 1505961 was first registered to Marciello Fanasca of Rome on the 5th of July 1967 under reg number ROMA A81573. According to the original "Foglio Complementare", Marciello paid 475.000 Italian Lires for the little FIAT. Believed to be delivered in the desperately attractive specification it resides in today; Azzuro Acquamarina 0433 over a Red leeatherette upholstery - quite frankly the definitve colour combo on any FIAT 500!
According to the rare and sought-after "Libretto", the full history of this FIAT is known which is an absolute rarity. Hereby we can confirm she stayed in Rome throughout its entire life with a handful of owners, before being exported to the Netherlands. A multitude of details under which historic MOT and road tax stamps are present in the Libretto - a true wealth of history that is thankfully still present with the car today!
The FIAT is totally rust free today, firstly thanks to the warm Italian climate and secondly due to considerable restoration works carried out a few years ago. The latter make that the Fiat presents in absolutely fine form today (aesthetically and technically) and needs for nothing. Mechanically she has been sorted by our FIAT specialist in Maastricht, which makes that she is "on the button" by all regards and can be used as intended in the forthcoming Spring and Summer by a new owner.
What makes this 500 F standout for us, besides its great condition is the documentation and general completeness. She is accompanied by all accessories, including the original jack, toolkit, spare wheel, the sought-after Libretto, Foglio Complementare and contemporary Italian registration documents with which the car can be registered anywhere in the EU with ease. If desired, we can supply her on Dutch licence plates with a fresh MOT. Now where's that Spring weather?!
Bite-size:
A FIAT 500 F in desperately attractive spec, as complete as they come and ready for a new owner to take her out on the open roads. Priced attractively, it doesn't get much better in FIAT 500-land than this.
Price: €12.500,-
