The XK8:Launched in 1996 as a replacement for the XJS, the XK8 was received very well as it ticked all boxes a "true Jag" should tick. Available as coupé and convertible, with a 4 litre engine at launch. Come 2002, Jaguar introduced the much-improved face-lifted version with the introduction of the 4.2 litre 32 valve V8. This raised power to 296 hp and introduced the ZF six-speed automatic gearbox - a significant step up from the standard five-speed. Aethetic alterations were limited to new exterior and interior colours, clear headlight lenses, different wheel designs and a redesigned grille section. The 4.2 litre engine is commonly agreed to be the one to have due to its improved performance - but more notably its exceptional reliability. This XK8:Chassisnumber 41126 was first registered on the 28th of April 2004, making it one of the last production batch cars before the introduction of the new X150 XK8. Believed to be originally consigned to Germany, in the wonderful spec of Adriatic Blue Metallic with an off-white leather interior. The wheel spec of choice was the optional 18 inch alloys. Throughout its entire life the XK8 is believed to have remained in Germany, until it was imported to the Netherlands by a noted Jaguar enthusiast in the Summer of 2023. Having had a multitude of Jaguars, including multiple X100 series XK8's, MKII, XF and XKR's - it goes without saying the previous gentleman has an eye for great Jags. This example with only 110.510 km's from new is no exception. With the recent purchase of an X100 XKR, this wonderful example is superfluous in the collection.Presented in lovely Adriatic blue, with an equally cared-for off-white interior this Jag presents very neat indeed. It is accompanied by all original accessories, including the full-size spare wheel, complete toolkit, tonneau cover in original bag, two sets of keys with single keyfob, all booklets including the owners manual, short instruction manual, COC and even the leather care instruction card. Recently fitted with two brand new front tires and a complete service by model expert GG Carservice in the Netherlands, the next service interval of this XK8 is planned in February 2025, giving pease of mind for any next custodian to enjoy it as intended!Bite-size:A very nice example of the coveted X100 XK8 with the desirable 4.2 litre engine and six-speed ZF. These cars represent incredible value for money and are already considered as future classics.SOLD
