The last classic Mini's:In late 1996, the last comprehensive technical change for the Classic Mini was implemented with the introduction of the multipoint injection system. This was the last hurrah in order to bring the little icon up to date with stringent EC emissions regulations, improve driveability and raise power by about 10 hp bringing the total to 63hp.From 1997 onwards there was a sports option pack available containing; 13 inch alloys, additional gauges, large body colour extended wheel arches, additional driving and/or fog lamps and a large tailpipe finisher. Original "Sportspacks" are widely regarded as the most collectable of Mini's, rust-free examples with warranted low mileages are increasingly rare. The example we have on offer here can be regarded as an absolute unicorn.This Mini Sportspack:The example on offer here is probably the best Mini Sportspack we've ever come across. Sourced directly from the first German owner, who purchased her in May 2000 at Autohaus Krummey in Saarbrücken for the not inconsiderable amount of 22.750,- DM. Today the odometer reads 9.050 km's from new, an unbelievable low amount for a 23 y/o motorcar! Specified in the de-facto spec for a classic Mini, in Dark British Racing Green over Monaco Tan (a black leather over Beige cloth insert) with white contrasting Cooper stripes and roof.The Mini presents nothing short of immaculate, boasting first paint throughout without exception, with all spotwelds, shutlines, factory markings and shutlines as per original. Importanty, the car has been driven from time to time, so no damage from storage has occured over time! We've personally test-driven the car as well to make sure all is functioning as it should. The car comes fully equipped with the original toolkit, jack, spare wheel (unused with the original tire), booklets and last but not least - the original purchasing invoice.
