The S4 Spider:Before the “all new” 916 Spider was supposed to hit the market in 1994, Pininfarina got tasked by giving the 115/105 series Spider a proper send-off by giving it a thorough once-over. And boy did they nail it. The result was a sleek, elegant open two seater that did away with the superfluous front under-bumper and rear trunk-lid plastic spoilers making for a much more cohesive & compelling design. Numerous innovations were introduced under which full-width body-coloured bumpers, full width rear taillights, 15 inch alloy wheels, ZF power-assisted steering as well as a Bosch Motronic fuel injection system - replacing the outdated carburettor setup. The interior was heavily revised too; the central gauges moved to the driver’s instrument panel, the steering wheel was taken from the GTV, seats were upholstered in a delicate blend of suede and Vinyl and the carpeting was of a luxurious deep pile specification. As one can expect, most were supplied in "resale Red". This S4 Spider:The car on offer here is a relatively "early" S4, originally consigned with reg number "MG AC10H" to Sinzig in Germany (vicinity of Cologne) by renowned Alfa dealer Zender Exklusiv-Auto of Mülheim-Kärlich. It was specified in the tasteful colour combo of Rosso Winner Mecalizzato 179/F over a Beige uphostery and Black softtop - a spec not oftenly seen. The Spider has remained in the Ruhr area throughout its entire life passing through the hands of just a handful of owners before we sourced and acquired her in late July 2023. The full history of ownership is well documented.Today the car presents impressively well, indicating a substantiated 96.5k km's from new in fine technical and aesthetical state of order. A clearly well looked-after example, as with most cars of this caliber, the initial ~70k km's have been covered in the early stages of its life whereas the duties of this Spider became more occasional at later stages. Service records that accompany the Spider underwrite all this.It goes without saying (but we say it anyway) - all electric ancillaries are fully functioning: electric windows, mirrors, instrument cluster, heater & fan controls etc.Besides she comes "fully-equipped" with all original documents and accessories: user manual, service manual, Alfa service partner booklet, original registration documents, original jack, tonneau cover and spare wheel. All documentation is bundled in a hardcover history file containing some TÜV examinations (further substantiating the mileage too) and invoices together with the aforementioned manuals and records. Currently suited with German papers, she can be delivered with Dutch registration (or export documents) and a fresh MOT.Bite-size:In the maze of mediocre S4 Spiders available on today's market with +150k km's in "resale Red", this stunning well looked after example stands out of the crowd with relatively low mileage, in sought-after spec and is accompanied with a nicely documented history.SOLD
