The Daimler X300:
The Daimler name was reserved for the highest trim level of the Jaguar XJ X300 range, to enhance the luxury and prestige of the model. The Daimler X300 was produced from 1994 to 1997 and available in short (SWB) and long wheel base (LWB). It featured all the chrome accents of the Jaguar Sovereign variant, along with additional refinements such as chrome door mirrors, chrome door handles as well as a distinctive "fluted" radiator surround on front and rear. Many of the optional extras available on standard Jaguar X300 models came as standard on the Daimler variant, including heated front seats, heated front windscreen, sunroof and cruise control. Exclusive to the Daimler were hanging door pockets, picnic tables for the rear seats and exclusive veneer. The Daimlers were the pinnacle of the jauar line-up at the time and were marketed at executives especially in the long wheel base format. A variety of engines were available, 6 cylinder, V8 and V12 (marked as double-six).
Just over 2.000 Daimler "Eights" were produced in LWB format, making it quite a rare beast on today's roads. Many have suffered from lackluster servicing and high mileage over the years, making fresh and greatly sorted examples ever so hard to come by.
This example:
The example on offer here is chassis number SAJDKAMD4CR814431, with the seventh digit (in this case "M" marking that it is indeed a LWB example with seating for 5). This example was newly consigned to Milan, to the law practice of Tito Zanfagna on the 14th of October 1997. After having kept the car for a reported 10 years, the car was sold to mr. Charles Neus of Frankfurt am Main. He has enjoyed the car for another decade or so, before selling it to its third and last owner - a Dutch enthusiast of Maastricht who has had the car since 2017.
This "Eight" is specified in the wonderful shade of Westminster Blue over a Beige full leather upholstery. The spec is complemented by the 16 inch alloy wheels (perhaps small by today's standards, but this was done intentionally to increase ride comfort). A painted pinstripe on the side of the car just finishes it all off. As this is a Daimler, all optional extra's that were available at the time are present: heated front seats, heated windscreen, automatic climate control, sunroof, rear picnic tables, adjustable passenger seat from the rear, cruise control and more. It goes without saying that all options, electrics and accessories are fully functioning without exception.
Service history is paramount for these cars as they need to be kept on top of to keep in pristine order. Service history of this vehicle is complete and very well documented, not only from the original service booklet but also with invoices that are in the dedicated history file. Over the last years, the car has been serviced by marque experts G&G Autoservice, basically regardless of cost. The last owner used the car as intended, as he drove it to his holiday home in Italy twice a year! A testament to this being an extremely well kept example. This Daimler comes with all accessories, keys, booklets and a dedicated history file with invoices. Everything that was present when the car was sold new is present today. Even the original warranty card is there!

This is your chance to make Jaguar great again by buying a top-of-the-line example from one of its latter heydays. Probably one of the best on the current market and priced very attractively!
