The last Mini's:When you were planning on ordering your new Mini at the end of the prodiuction run, you could choose from a variety of trim levels and accessories. Due to overwhelming demand for the sports option pack (easily distinguishable by 13" wheels and widened body colour fenders), Mini offered a fully fledged sporty variant from factory with all optional extra's pre-ticked in the last year of production; deemed “the Cooper Sport”.Besides 13 inch alloys, additional gauges in fascia, large body colour extended wheelarches, 2 driving and 2 fog lamps and a large tailpipe finisher – the Cooper Sport came with Silver contrasting roof, bonnet stripes and mirror casings as well as Cooper Sport badge on the rear. On the interior an “engine turned” aluminium dashboard was fitted, together with more aluminium accessories found on the John Cooper Works cars; aluminium gearknob, window winders and door latches for example.This Cooper Sport:This Cooper Sport was originally delivered on the 12th of September 2000 to its first owner in Neulingen, a small town in the Stuttgart area. Specified in superb Cooper Sport spec with Tahiti Blue, contrasting Silver roof, mirrors and bonnet striping. The interior of the Cooper Sports were pretty much as good as it got in the MK7 Mini's, "engine turned" Aluminium dashboard, Aluminium acessories for most "touchpoints" and beautiful Black with Silver leather upholstery - Cooper Sports are fully equipped and considered as one of the most attractive specifications for a Classic Mini MK7. Another notable option was the electric Webasto roof, which this car benefits from, making it an exceptionally pleasant car for those lovely Spring and Summer drives! It's a lesser-seen option on a Cooper Sport too.The first owner kept hold of the Mini up until October 2021 (!) when the previous enthusiast sourced and acquired her and embarked on a sympathetic technical recommissioning as the car had been stationary for some time (further substantiating the low mileage). All service measures are elaborately documented in the history file with invoices and were mostly undertaken by Mini specialist HUGerdes of Cologne and Car Concept by Christoph Nikitin of Bonn. Here's a selection of the carefully documented recomissioning works: full engine overhaul including gaskets, cylinder head overhaul, a full service with all filters and fluids renewed, complete brake system overhaul including all consumables (gaskets, rubbers, seals etc) as well as a partial suspension overhaul. The body of the Mini is completely rust-free to this day and presents immaculately throughout with all weld spots, shutlines etc as per original. The owner took the liberty of also installing a contemporary Bluetooth radio (at the expense of €249,-), however the original Grundig example is still present as well. All in all the expenditure of over two years of a running recomissioning exceeds €13.700,- to get this exceptional Mini back in "as close to as new" state.Supplied with all original accessories including unused spare wheel, toolkit with jack, user and service manual in correct holder and a history file with all invoices and TÜV documents. Two sets of keys with keyfobs are present as well. A set of four near new Yokohama tires are fitted, needless to say this Mini needs for nothing.Bite-Size:An outstanding Mini in a rare spec, with uber-low mileage, exceptional provenance and presented in very sorted order throughout. Mini's simply don't come much more complete than this.SOLD
